Acceptable Use Policy

Use it the right way.

VeloIQ handles elite athletes' performance and physiological data, and it earns its place only when it is used responsibly. This policy sets out how you may — and may not — use VeloIQ, so the platform stays secure, fair, and true to the trust athletes and federations place in it. It applies alongside our Privacy Policy and any federation agreement.

01Scope & who this covers

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs everyone who accesses VeloIQ — athletes, coaches, performance directors, federation staff, administrators, and visitors to our sites. By using VeloIQ you agree to follow it. Where a federation has its own agreement with us or with its athletes, that agreement applies in addition to this AUP; nothing here reduces the protections owed to athletes.

02Permitted use

VeloIQ is licensed for legitimate elite-sport performance work: capturing session telemetry, reviewing and interpreting it, and returning coaching decisions to the athletes and programs you are authorized to support. Use the platform only for the purpose, role, and program for which access was granted to you.

03Accounts & access

  • Keep your credentials confidential. Do not share your login, and do not let anyone use your account.
  • Access only the athletes, rosters, and data your role and the athlete's consent settings permit. Coaches and administrators may access only the athletes assigned to them.
  • Do not attempt to gain access to accounts, programs, or data that are not yours, or to escalate your own permissions.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect it has been compromised.

04Athlete data conduct

Athlete data is confidential and, in many cases, health-related. Handle it accordingly.

  • Only upload or import data you are authorized to provide, and only for athletes within your program.
  • Respect each athlete's consent settings, including limits on coach access, federation visibility, and AI inference.
  • Do not export, publish, or disclose another person's performance data, footage, or physiological data outside the people they have authorized.
  • Do not use VeloIQ to profile, surveil, or make decisions about individuals in ways that are unlawful, discriminatory, or outside the coaching relationship.

05Prohibited activity

You must not, and must not permit anyone else to:

  • Use VeloIQ for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or deceptive purpose.
  • Upload malware, or any code or content designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to any system or data.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform, or breach or circumvent security, authentication, or access controls.
  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-export data by automated means except through interfaces we expressly provide.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, models, or prompts, except to the extent the law prohibits that restriction.
  • Interfere with or place an unreasonable load on the service, or attempt to disrupt its availability (for example, denial-of-service activity).
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the platform to a third party outside your authorized program without our written agreement.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse any person, or upload content that is unlawful or infringes others' rights.
  • Misrepresent your identity, role, or affiliation, or use the service to impersonate another person or program.

06Security & integrity

Help us keep the platform trustworthy. Do not disable, bypass, or interfere with logging, audit trails, tenant isolation, or any security feature. Do not attempt to access another federation's isolated data, and do not use the service in a way that could compromise the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of anyone's data.

07Use of MomentumAI

MomentumAI generates coaching insights from session data to support — not replace — professional judgement. When using it:

  • Treat its output as decision support. A qualified coach, and where relevant a medical professional, remains responsible for decisions about training, load, and athlete welfare.
  • Do not rely on AI output as medical advice or as the sole basis for return-to-train or health decisions.
  • Do not submit data you are not authorized to process, and do not attempt to manipulate the system to reveal another program's data or to bypass consent controls.

VeloIQ's intelligence works only from your program's own data. We do not use your athletes' data to train shared or base models, and no program's data is visible to another.

08Third-party integrations

If you connect third-party services such as Apple Health, WHOOP, or Fitbit, connect only accounts and data you are entitled to use, and follow those providers' terms. Keep your authorizations current, and disconnect integrations you no longer use. You are responsible for the accounts and devices you link.

09Your content

You keep ownership of the data and footage you upload. You are responsible for having the rights and consents needed to provide it to VeloIQ and to let the people you authorize view it. You must not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you are not permitted to share.

10Intellectual property

VeloIQ, including its software, interfaces, models, and branding, is owned by VeloIQ, Inc. and its licensors. Your access grants you a limited right to use the platform for its intended purpose — it does not transfer any ownership. Do not copy, modify, or create derivative works from the platform except as expressly permitted.

11Monitoring & enforcement

We may monitor use to keep the service secure and compliant, and we log access and recommendations for audit. If you breach this policy, we may — depending on severity — warn you, restrict or suspend access, remove offending content, or terminate access, and we may notify the relevant federation. Where activity is unlawful or threatens others, we may act immediately and report it to the appropriate authorities.

12Reporting violations

If you become aware of misuse, a security concern, or a vulnerability, tell us promptly at [email protected]. We appreciate responsible disclosure and will work with you in good faith. Please do not access, alter, or download other people's data while investigating a suspected issue.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this AUP as the platform and the law evolve, and will revise the "Last updated" date above. Where a change is material, we will notify federation partners and, where appropriate, in-app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
